Do I need an LMIA for Francophone Mobility?

No. This stream is LMIA‑exempt under IRPR R205(a). The employer must submit an employer portal offer and pay the compliance fee, and your application must meet language and job location requirements (outside Quebec).

What level of French is required?

Intermediate French is required. We discuss acceptable evidence and strategies to demonstrate your language ability for the purposes of this program.

Can my family accompany me?

Spouses/partners and dependent children may be eligible for open work permits or study permits depending on circumstances. We assess eligibility and prepare related applications.
